10/2/2019 0 Comments Photoshop carFor this assignment, we had to work in photoshop with the clone stamp, the paint brush and the crop tool. This assignment was fun and learning how to edit like this was fascinating. The two top photos is what was assigned to us. We had to do things such as change the lighting of the windshield, darken the windshield, and limit the amount of reflection from the lights on the car. On the bottom two images, I decided to use the same idea of editing with a different car to see if it would come out with the same results. I learned many things in photoshop that I feel will be very important for later editing. I realized how fun it is to edit photos and the outlook is great if you do it a certain way. My favorite part of photoshop is cloning because it's one of the easier tools for me and it helps the picture a lot.

9/30/2019 1 Comment photo assignment 2 - animalsShutter Speed ; 1/40 Aperture ; 4.5 ISO ; 200 For this assignment I decided to do pictures of my dog for the category of animals because I believe animals are fun to take pictures of. I attempted to mostly work on getting her eyes on the rule of thirds and the color of her fur in good lighting. I learned that is quite difficult to get a dog to stand still for some pictures but when I did, I really enjoyed the outcome. I enjoyed capturing these moments because I can see true emotion with the pictures, it being something that is alive. I had trouble figuring out what kind of aperture I should have but worked it out.
9/26/2019 0 Comments pop artFor this assignment, we were givin step by step instructions on how to do our first image editing on photoshop. For this particular photo assignment, we were taught and told to create a pop art style of editing. The following is how my images turned out. I learned in this assignment how to inverse colors and duplicate pictures. I thought it was fun figuring out how to make edits like this and get the pop art effect, overall I liked this assignment,

9/24/2019 0 Comments photo 1 assignment, nature Best photo Shutter speed ; 1/125 Aperture ; F8.0 ISO ; 80 For this assignment, I decided to focus on taking pictures of nature. Flowers more specifically. I had hoped to get very bright and flourescent colors to show in the flowers and to get a symmetric view. During the process of taking these photos I learned how to control the aperture and shutter speed at the same time in order to have the camera absorb the sunlight in order to capture all of the color in the image. I enjoyed taking these pictures and getting out with the camera.
9/19/2019 0 Comments Photo one inspirationFor the first photo assignment I will be trying to capture the beauty of nature. I hope to include lots of contrast and color in my image. Here is some inspiration for what I'm trying to accomplish.
9/16/2019 0 Comments shutter/aperture assignmentThis particular part of this assignment was to try and capture different levels of movement by changing the shutter speed. In the first picture, the shutter speed was 1/40, which meant for the image to appear more blurry because the speed was slower compared to the image on the left that had a faster speed of 1/100, which caused it to be more detailed and the pages to be more detailed. In the first picture the image is has an aperture of F1.8, which was suppose to allow the image to have more of a focused pont with the background being blurry caused by less light being allowed in. The picture on the right had a more focused background since the aperture was F8 and let more light in. 1) A faster shutter speed captures something moving in more detail. 2) A slower shutter speed creates motion blur. 3) Creates a deep depth of field by letting less light in 4) Creates a shallow depth of field for the image by allowing more light in. 9/9/2019 0 Comments Composition 1&2For this assignment, we were given certain photography elements to work on. We focused on elements such as color, balance, framing etc... I enjoyed this assignment because it gave me the ability to move around the school and get creative with what kind of pictures I could take. During this assignment I learned more about the camera basics and how to capture the right photo for an element. This seemed to be very eye opening regarding the field of photography and helped with basics on how to use my own website, import photos from a camera, and helped learn basic photography elements. I've done related assignments in previous photography classes, but so far this has been one of my favorites. It wasn't that hard but was a bit time consuming, but still worth it. I would recommend this assignment to someone first getting into photography; it helps a lot.
